Speaking on what fans should expect from the mini-album, Conor said: "Across 'Collage 2' there's a greater focus on collaboration, even more so than on Collage 1. I've enlisted the help of many of the new friends I've made since my first EP to make the best possible project I can. I'm super excited."
A self-taught multi-instrumentalist, 22 year-old Conor Albert started making beats at the age of 8, finding an audience for his early demos on SoundCloud. It was listening to FKJ and Jordan Rakei whilst learning piano in his teens that encouraged him to make the soulful, jazz influenced music he's now widely known for.
To date, Conor has released two EPs: 2020's 'Collage 1' and 2021's 'Smile' in collaboration with fellow riser and Young Poet-signee Alice Auer. Now with over 15 million accumulative streams across his releases to date, the music has been championed by BBC Radio 1 (Jack Saunders' Future Artists, Sian Elery’s Chillest Show), BBC Radio 2 (Jamie Cullum), as well as key tastemaker press including The Independent, The Line Of Best Fit, Notion, Clash Magazine, EARMILK, New Wave Magazine, Guitar World, Vogue Paris and more.
Conor’s playing and beat-making, showcased via his series of compelling loop videos, has earned him more than 250K followers across all platforms. In that time he's worked alongside artists including Griff, Priya Ragu, Zak Abel, Tom Misch, Disclosure amongst others - receiving glowing co-signs from Questlove, Timbaland, Justin Bieber, Zane Lowe and more along the way.
Conor Albert's new mini-album 'Collage 2' is out April 29th via Ninja Tune / Young Poet, with new track "Sunflower" (with Max Pope) out now.
